My name is Robert Plett, and thank you for stopping by my page.
I finally started the journey toward realizing my educational goals and began a Master of Education degree. I am particularly interested in language education and have been since my undergraduate linguistics program, which is why my degree focus is in Teaching English. I want to focus on making language learning something that students are energized by and are motivated to do. I want students to learn as efficiently and effectively as possible and to not just memorize vocabulary and verb conjugations, but to leave the classroom with a basic level of functional language understanding.
My goals for this degree are pretty simple. I just want to learn as much as I can about education and how to deliver it in a lasting and effective way. I want to gain exposure to and experience in teaching English in a classroom setting, and I want to learn teaching methods that will enable me to be a more engaging educator. I want to be a knowledgeable and highly competent teacher with the ability to motivate students to maximize their learning potential. In short, I want to be the best educator I can.
Thank you, again, for taking the time to stop by my site and read my post. Please leave any feedback you feel is pertinent.
